Public Authorities

The National Archives are the central archive for the public sector of Greenland. All public authorities in Greenland - with the exception of Danish state authorities - are obliged to archive historically significant documents in the National Archives. The National Archives makes an appraisal of the historical significance of documents. The archive can also issue regulations on the storage of records, etc. The National Archives also function in an advisory capacity to the authorities on archivin issues.
