Legislation and Regulations
We cannot keep everything for posterity. But we can store materials that document significant administrative and legal issues for the citizens and authorities of Greenland, as well material that can contribute to historical research.
The archive bill makes the National Archives responsible for the supervision and endorsement of the record-keeping systems of public authorities and institutions. In assuming this responsibility, the National Archives ensure that records and documents relevant to the history and culture of Greenland are preserved for posterity.
The National Archives have published all guidelines, regulations and legislation on public sector archives online.
If you have any question regarding guidelines, regulations and legislation please do not hesitate to contact the National Archives.
