Registration and Preservation Declaration

The Greenland National Museum & Archives (Grønlands Nationalmuseum og Arkiv) shall publish preservation orders, as well as any change or revocation thereof, within 14 days after the decision is made. The owner, users with area allocation or other right to use the building, the municipality where the building is located, and other relevant parties are directly notified. Decisions on preservation are registered by the Court of Greenland (Retten i Grønland) upon request from the Greenland National Museum & Archives.

The Court of Greenland must notify the Greenland National Museum & Archives of any change of ownership. Preservation orders must be respected by all right holders over the building, regardless of when the right was established.

In the High Court's (Landsrettens) overview, you can get information about deeds (skøder) of preserved buildings, about the building, and who the owner is.
